KFM Radio - der populärste Sender aus KapstadtDie Radiostationen KFM und Radio Good Hope FM sind die beliebtetsten und populärsten Musiksender am Kap. KFM bietet zeitgenössische Musik für das mittlere Alter, während Good Hope für den jüngeren Hörer ist und die aktuellen Hits und einen modernen Mix spielt.
FMR (Fine Music Radio) hat sich der Klassik und dem Jazz verschrieben. Noch recht neu ist "Smile 90.4FM", der ganz bewusst einen Schwerpunkt auf eher positive Nachrichten legt.
Die meisten der Stationen sind englischsprachig: SAFM bietet Nachrichten, Talk Shows, Klassik, Sport und Hörspiele. 5FM und Metro Radio sind dagegen schwerpunktmässig musikorientiert.
Die Zielgruppe von Radio Lotus ist die in Kapstadt sehr große indische Gemeinde - man hört Talk-Show, Nachrichten und Musik. "Africaans Stereo" und "Radio Xhosa" und einige andere kleinere Stationen moderieren in den nach Englisch häufigsten Sprachen am Kap.
